Well, we are in the home stretch! Less than two weeks remain in this school year! It's hard to believe! It's almost time for these great students to move on to 6th grade at the Intermediate School. It seems like we almost just got started. This is a terrific group of 5th grades who are working hard (and getting smarter). This will be the last 5th grade class at Woodland!!!!
My class theme is always "It's Up to You!" which stresses the importance of fifth graders taking personal responsibility for their actions, attitudes, and academics. Fifth grade is a special year and my hope is that each students always gives their "personal best."

Fifth grade is a challenging year. Students need to be ready to move on to middle school by the end of the year and learning to take more responsibility is a major factor for continued success. I remind students often to "Make an Effort...not an excuse!"
