In this WebQuest, you will review and evaluate web-basd career information and planning tools to determine which of these resources you will utilize with your own students to develop their Individual Career Plans.
TASK:
Your task is to address the following question-- How can web-based career planning tools foster students' understanding of the process of career development and their knowledge about career pathways?

Browse through each of the career planning tools web-links provided in the Usesful Links section of this page. As you analyze and evaluate each of these web-based resources, determine which ones you would like to utilize in your WBL Program and consider how you would use the ones you have chosen.

Utilize the Web-Based Career Planning Tools Checklist and Evaluation Sheet provided by your instructor to analyze each website you review. Then, write a brief statement explaining how you will utilize the web-based career planning tools that you select for your WBL program in the section provided on this handout.
CONCLUSION:
We will hold a class discussion to address the following question-- Why do you think students need to explore their interests, aptitudes, and values in order to make decisions about possible future career choices?
