wrangler3rd Third Grade Team
Rolling, rolling, rolling, keep those Wranglers rolling! Our Third Grade Team worked hard this last six weeks to keep our little Wranglers learning.  Our students enjoyed learning about multiplication and division, simple machines and America. One of the many highlights of the 4th six weeks was our biography reports.  Students paraded up and down the halls dressed in their finest historical costumes to represent those who have made a difference in our history.  We were able to interview famous people like Helen Keller, Neil Armstrong and Squanto, to name just a few!
As we continue to blaze a trail into the fifth six weeks, students will focus on story comprehension, and compare and contrast writing in Reading and Writing.  In Language Arts, students will continue to practice proper grammar through sentence formation and Multisensory Grammar.  We will continue to review our phonograms and practice Spelling Units 25-30. In Math, we will begin a unit of study on geometry and symmetry.  Science will be filled with concepts of Forces of Nature and Pollution/Recycling.  In Social Studies, students will research and learn about Houston and all its glory! Yee Haw!  Our third grade Wranglers have made great leaps this year with their reading. Therefore, we will continue with another Reading Log and Project for the 5th six weeks. Please continue to encourage our cowboys and cowgirls to practice their fast facts daily.
Once again, the third grade team would like to tip our hats to you for all of your support.  It has made a difference in our students and our school.
                               Much obliged,
                               The Third Grade Team
