Welcome to Sixth Grade Language Arts!!! We will be studying (fiction and nonfiction), grammar, spelling, vocabulary and drama. Writing will also be an important part of our language experience. Come to class with your supplies and a great ATTITUDE!!!

Literature- We will be reading novels and short stories the rest of the school year.
Comprehension and Writing- We will be reading non-fiction articles and and responding to Teen Biz on the computer.
Spelling- A lesseon each week in our new spelling book.
Daily Language Practice- editing will be on the Smart Board.
Grammar- We will be reviewing parts of speech.
Presentation- Demonstration speech.
Poetry-We will be putting together a notebook of different styles of poetry after the SOL testing.
Drama- Reader's Theatre.
