Pop-ups: Choose the correct answer from a list of choices.

Checkpoint 1.3: What's the Big Idea?

The scientific method begins and ends with an idea. Not all ideas are scientific, though. Here's how to tell the difference:

1. An idea is scientific if it is testable (That means, an experiment is able to prove or disprove it).

2. An idea is NOT scientific if it is limited by an opinion

HINT: Sometimes, an opinion is expressed with phrases such as "I believe" or "I think". Also, keep in mind, an idea does NOT need to be correct to be a scientific idea!

Choose testable Scientific Idea, or Untestable Opinion in the sentences that follow.
