I've been teaching first grade at Baker for ten years now. I love to read with the children and watch them grow throughout the year. We're very busy in first grade!!

It is important to read with your child each night for at least 15 minutes. When reading, use strategies that are taught in class to help you with words you don't know!
Keep practicing adding and subtracting with pictures, a number line, or using your head and fingers.
