About me |
I began teaching at Saint Theresa School in 1995 in the Preschool and then taught first grade until 2006. In 2006, I began teaching Junior High in Room 19. I teach 7th grade homeroom religion, and geography. I teach 8th grade US History. I have a degree in Seconday Education from Western Illinois University with a double major in History and Art. I have a Post-Baccelaureate major in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. Teaching junior high gives me the opportunity to guide our 7th graders on their field trip to CIMI, guide them through the Lenten presentation of Stations of the Cross for the parish and school community, and help facilitate their Advent service project, Adopt A Family. Seventh graders spend the year of geography studying one country in depth through many assigned projects. This year-long study culminates in International Day in May, a day in which the school community learns about all the countries showcased. In addition to teaching junior high, I help facilitate Student Council. |
