I am a 1994 graduate from TCS and a 1998 graduate of Asbury College. I started teaching Kindergarten at TCS in 1999 until our son was born in 2002. I worked part time in the Caleb department for 10 years and I am now enjoying my second year back at T.C.S. in the 2nd Grade. My husband Chris and I have 3 amazing children...Colin (10), Camdyn (7), and Caris (5). I am enjoying 2nd grade so much and after getting to spend a week at a Differentiated Conference in Chicago this summer, I am looking forward to using many of the new things I learned about.

The Rainforest exhibit was as huge success. I am so thankful that so many of you gave of your time and your resources to make it such an amazing event for the children. They will remember it for many years and in large part to those of you who served. OH MY GOODNESS ONLY 2 WEEKS LEFT!! HERE WE GO!
Social Studies We are finishing up on our work with transportation of goods. Math No more Homework sheets. We will be ending our year with problem solving galore! Reading Workshop We will end our year reading a lot and making sure we are really good at finding details while we are reading! Writing Workshop We are will be working on sentence structure and creating amazing sentences! Bible We will be reviewing all of our bible memory from the year. Science Our larvae have turned into Chrysalises (we have 5) and our mealworms are beginning the process of turning into beetles. It is very exciting! So we are watching life-cycles all around us and learning about others in our text!

Box Tops Contest Thanks for turning in all of the box-tops because we earned an extra recess! Mrs. Ashbaucher will take the kids for an extra recess this week because we met our goal! You’re the best!
