Grading System
The grading system is composed of percentages from tests, assignments, participation, effort, and extra credit. Every Monday, students have weekly vocabulary quizzes. They are responsible for completing one vocabulary unit each week. On Fridays, students will have weekend assignments: book reviews, journal writing, and completing any other work from their academic classes. Their participation and effort grades are based on the productivity of their use of class time in completing their academic work, such as tests, projects, and homework. Students are given opportunities to earn extra credits by submitting work that demonstrates their initiatives to improve English in reading and writing skills.
The grade will be based on the following percentage distribution:
tests - 60%, assignments - 30%, effort-10%
