About me |
Hello! Welcome to my QUIA site. I hope you find this page informative and helpful. I am very excited to be teaching at Church Hill Intermediate School. I consider my position at CHIS to be very important. My goal is not just to equip students for tests; it is to help prepare them for life. I was born and have lived most of my life in the Kingsport area. I graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School then continued my education at Northeast State and Liberty before earning my undergraduate degree from ETSU. I earned my MEd from Milligan College. I have several hobbies I enjoy when I am not at school, working on lesson plans, making flip charts, grading papers, recording grades, and so on. I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 dogs. I also enjoy cooking (and eating). Other activities I enjoy are: reading; playing softball; watching football--especially THE ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE (RTR); and watching TV ("BBT", "Iron Chef America", and "Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives"). If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by email. I can be reached at < michael.baird@hck12.net >.
