I grew up in the Caney Ridge section of Dickenson County VA. and graduated from Clintwood High School. I earned a BS degree in Technology Education, and a MS degree in Vocational Education from Virginia Tech. I also have obtained an administrative certification for middle and high school. I have taught for 32 years, 28 of which have been in Washington County. Schools I have taught in include Glade Spring Middle, Damascus Middle, Partick Henry High, Abingdon High, and John Battle High. I live in Bristol and have a wife and two sons.

I enjoy teaching about technology. In this class students learn about many different types of technology. Through student activities in this class they can gain much insight into the different kinds of technology, and also gain some insight into their likes and dislikes, as they pertain to potential future careers.
