Hello. As a middle school teacher, I am excited to be at two new schools this year--River Oaks Middle School and Alston Middle School. The 2008-2009 school term is my third year of teaching in Dorchester Distict 2. Prior to teaching, I worked for SC Electric and Gas Company for 3 years and prior to this, I was a stay-at-home mom raising two children, Mikayla and Colby. They are the love of my life!!! Before having children, the military was my career as I spent several years as an aircraft loadmaster on the C-141B and C-17A cargo planes. My career on active duty and reserves afforded my the opportunity to fly around the world to see many different and unique cultures. During these years, I learned America is wonderful and as citizens, we have a multitude of blessings many other countries do not have. Today I stand in the classroom teaching middle school students the value of learning Computer Technology and how extremely important these skills are in today's society. Without computers, our world today would be very null and void. Each skill learned today can be one that will be used in the future. I am excited to indulge into another career and hope my students will take every opportunity given to them to be a shining star of tomorrow! God Bless! |
