This year, I will be teaching 4th grade at Cold Spring Elementary. I'm excited for the opportunity. Last year, I was a 6th grade teacher at Groveland Elementary in the Central Bucks School District. This was a great experience. Prior to teaching at Groveland, I taught in Easton for several years. I graduated from Moravian College in 2000. Although I grew up in the Lehigh Valley, I did live out west in Reno, NV for a couple years. I recently went back out west to get married at Lake Tahoe, California. My main focus as a teacher is to build a solid classroom community. It's important to provide a comfortable learning environment that allows students to share their thoughts and ideas. I also feel that it is very important to expose students and give them the opportunity to use technology on a regular basis. Outside of school, I love to ski, run, and do anything else outdoors. I also love to travel, and I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to go visit new places. I am now married to a veterinarian. This explains why I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a hamster! |
