Ecce 44: Translating Ablative Absolutes
You will see three types of ablative absolutes: 1) perfect passive participles (4th pp) & a noun (this having been done; after this was done; when this was done) 2) present active participles & noun (while this was being done) 3) two nouns or a noun or an adjective ("being" is understood; since/because can be used)
