Fractions: Subtraction with Borrowing

You must borrow from the whole number in all examples to subtract larger fraction from smaller fraction.

EX 5 1/4 - 2 3/4 Since 3/4 is bigger than 1/4
BORROW 4/4 from the 5 and add it to the 1/4
5 1/4 becomes 4 5/4

4 5/4 - 2 3/4 = 2 2/4 reduced to 2 1/2
