Simple Present Tense

We use Simple Present Tense in the following situations:
1. To indicate continual or habitual actions and events in the present.
"She takes French lessons every Tuesday night."
2. To state facts and general truths.
"The earth revolves around the sun."
3. To show that the event is occuring is occuring at the present time.
"The shop sells cheap watches."
