Subject Verb Agreement & Phrasal Verbs

Subject Verb Agreement-A singular verb must be used with a singular subject and a plural verb with a plural subject. Eg. (Every) pupil (is) given a chance to try for the scholarship.
Phrasal Verbs-Phrasal Verbs are verbs commonly used with certain prepositions to form idiomatic expressions. Eg. catch up, come round, break in, blow up etc...
