C032
Have you ever seen a dachshund? The next time you are walking in the park, look for one. He is a long dog, and not very tall. Usually he is jet-black with a brown or white throat. When he runs he seems to be very clumsy. His face and ears are like those of a hunting dog. You will notice his tail as it almost always stands up straight. Once you have seen this odd little fellow, you can't forget him. His bark is deep and fierce for such a small dog. Loud sounds seem to hurt his ears. When you pick him up, take him by the skin on his back, as you would a cat. The joints in his front legs hurt when he is picked up by the legs. He makes a good playfellow.
