  2. Capitalize north, south, east, and west when they refer to specific regions, are part of a proper noun, or are within an address.
  3. Capitalize northern, southern, eastern, and western when they refer to specific people or regions, not when they refer to general locations or directions.
  4. Capitalize official titles that precede names, but do not capitalize titles that follow names.
  5. Capitalize names of days, months, holidays, and religious days. Do not capitalize the names of the seasons.
  6. Capitalize a noun followed by a number or a letter that indicates sequence. However, do not capitalize the nouns lines, note, page, paragraph, size, and verse.
