Directions; Study this lesson and then do the test that follows.
1) 2d means 2xd. (Note that the multiplications sign is ommitted.) If d=12, then 2d equals 2x12, or 24.
2) bc means bxc. If b=4 and c=5, then bc equals 4x5, or 20.
3) 5ac means 5xaxc. If a=2 and c=3, then 5ac equals 5x2x3, or 30. Note the letters are used to stand for numbers.
