WW2 QB 2020 - Info & general qs Part 1 -
· The date is Friday February 7 (2:00p-4:00p) for the preliminary round and Saturday February 8 (10:00a-11:30a) for the championship. You will need to miss school on Friday Feb 7th. - Preliminary competition is NOT a buzzer style quiz bowl-- Each team has an opportunity to answer questions. Each round has 10 questions on a variety of WWII topics. Every round ends with a teamwork challenge.- Top two teams return on Saturday FEB 8 for the championship.ALL teams are invited to attend as the audience. Championship round will be held at The National WWII Museum. - Championship round IS a buzzer style quiz bowl -- Championship is filmed and will be broadcast on regional Cox channels at a later date. Please check your calendars and make sure you are available. · Championship (for top 2 teams) Thursday, Feb 21 (LIVE from the Cox Studio in Harahan) This is the WWII Qualification Test Part ! . fillin questions- 2 pts each (or more) with possible bonus points on some questions multiple choice questions -1pt each matching questions - 1pt each * The first few questions are not worth any pts ( like your email and your app and 5th hour teacher) but I need you to answer them any way for administrative purposes By taking this test you are agreeing that you would be willing to represent Northshore at the competition at the WWII Museum in New Orleans. The score that you will see at the end is your raw score. I will be going through the free response scores to adjust for misspellings etc. I will notify you if you make the team as well as 3 alternates. In the event of a tie in points, time will be the tie breaker. All participants including alternates will need to sign communications waivers for the school and for Cox cable.
