3.01 PR 002 Grp Activity 1: Communication match up
Explain that promotion is a marketing communication. Communication involves a sender (A) who is giving a message (B) to a receiver (C). The sender is a seller who is sending a message, a promotional idea, to a receiver—a consumer or user. The action taken by the receiver is the feedback (D). In many cases, the feedback is a decision to buy or not to buy. Divide the class into groups of three students each. Ask each group to review the examples given. In each case, the group should identify the sender, the receiver, the message, and the feedback. They should write the corresponding letter in the space provided.
