  1. Why did you take Spanish 2 this year?
    I need it if I want to go to a 4 year college.
    I *love* Spanish! I wouldn't dream of taking anything else!
    I enjoyed Spanish One - so I thought, Why not?
    I needed a class....this fit my schedule.
    I'm wondering the same thing. WHY did I do this to myself?


  1. What do you hope to be able to do with Spanish in your future?
    Have a great college application and then....move on and forget it.
    Travel - family vacations and personal enjoyment.
    Maybe business/professional applications in my future.
    DEFINITELY professional use in my future.
    I really just wanted to know what all those Spanish-speaking soaps are all about.


  1. What do you feel the most "rusty" with this fall?
    The verbs! Definitely! I mean, really, did we *learn* any verbs last year?
    The vocabulary....it all *sounds* familiar...but, I don't remember any of it.
    Actually, I'm feeling pretty confident about what I remember.
    I think I could use some more work with verbs and vocabulary - but I'll make it.
    I think I've forgotten half the grammar - but I certainly remember odd vocabulary here and there.


  1. How confident do you feel using a computer and the internet.
    I'm confident - I use it often. I'm the one who helps out my family and friends.
    I'm okay. I know how to get around and do what I need to do.
    I use it when someone else can help me figure it out.
    I avoid the computer at all costs....... okay... whenever possible. I prefer to write and use books.
    Computer? NO WAY. Hate that thing.


  1. Which would you do first if you came across a vocabulary word you didn't know?
    Ignore it and keep reading....and hope it didn't matter.
    Underline it and keep reading to see if I can figure it out.
    Vocabulary? Why do I have to pay attention to that?
    Reading? I have to read in this class too? I don't usual read the directions to anything.
    I stop and look up every word I don't understand.
    I underline all of the vocabulary, then look it up all at once.
    I underline it and I also translate each sentence in my head or on paper as I read.


  1. How do you use your textbooks?
    Only when I have an assignment do I even look at it or read it.
    As a resource, but only when I'm desperate.
    As a resource for almost all classwork.
    As a work-out, the more books in the backpack, the stronger I get.
