- List all possible ways someone could define alternative fuels. (In parenthesis by each one, mention if you think it would be better used for pro or con and why, if applicable)

- What % of world pollution is caused by the US alone?
What % of pollution is caused by passenger vehicles and light trucks?
What % of global warming is caused by this?

- What exactly are passenger vehicles and light trucks?

- List anything that would support the idea that 2040 as a deadline is too soon and can not be met.

- List anything that would say 2040 as a deadline is too LATE. and we can meet an earlier deadline.

- What advancements have already been made for alternative fuels? Are car companies (and other passenger vehicles, light truck manufacturers) already making alternative fuel vehicles? What technology do we already have?

- What successes have other countries in the world had when it comes to alternative fuel vehicles? Mention particular countries.

- List all alternative fuels, with any economic costs involved, and any environmental harms they would or do cause.

- What types of burdens would pro or con be able to place on each other in a round?
(For example, in order for the pro side to win today's debate, the pro side must show that we CAN meet the deadline, and that alternative fuels help our environment and our economy. Or the con side must show that the mandate would harm our country in some significant way.
