NA-YGN 2008 Chapter Achievement Award Nominations
Purpose: To recognize the efforts of local NA-YGN chapters for services related to the growth of members through social, community service, and professional growth activities. This award salutes chapters for overall excellence in supporting NA-YGN’s mission and members and serving the industry. Nominator(s): NA-YGN Members at utilities, government agencies, professional societies, and vendors to the nuclear industry can nominate themselves, or others. Nomination Due: February 13th for the previous year’s new programs, actions, and events. Winners will be notified by March 16th so they can send a representative to the annual conference. Selection Criteria: Nominees are required to be members of NA-YGN and recognized local chapters. Local chapters are required to show balanced growth opportunities in the areas of social activities, community service, and professional development. The nominations will be judged on the following criteria: 1) Professional Development: The chapter has made major contributions to the professional development of its members through the outstanding products, services and support in that area of life-long learning, continuing education and professional development. 2) Social Activities: The chapter has provided social activities that provide its members with opportunities connect with each other outside the normal business interactions. 3) Community Service: The chapter has volunteered a significant amount of time to help their community and improve the image of the professionals in the nuclear industry. The chapter has contributed significant energy to enhance the recognition of NA-YGN and the nuclear industry as a positive collaborator to the community. 4) Membership: The chapter has exhibited excellence in marketing NA-YGN membership benefits and has developed an enthusiastic and innovative way to retain current members, as well as to attract a significant number of new members.
