The Job Interview "positions" have not been updated for many years. (GPS/GIS probably did not even exist when these categories were written.)

Name (optional):

  1. I would be in favor of BROADENING the career options for which FFA members may select and interview.
    Yes
    No

  1. I would be in favor of eliminating the current list of entry-level positions, and replacing with something like...

"IDENTIFY AND APPLY FOR A CAREER IN ONE of the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources PATHWAYS of: Animal Systems, Plant Systems, Food Products and Processing Systems, Agribusiness Systems, Power, Natural Resources Systems, Environmental Systems, or Power, Structural and Technical Systems."
    Yes
    No

  1. Some instructors have expressed difficulty in encouraging students to participate in Public Speaking or Extemporaneous Speaking, but have multiple students that want to compete in Job Interview.

I would be in favor of the Iowa FFA Association establishing pathway categories for Job Interview. Such as, ONE STUDENT, PER CHAPTER, may compete IN EACH of the 7 career pathway categories. At the state-level, one OVERALL winner would be selected to advance to National.

(Of course the details...judges, rooms, etc...would need to be worked out, but this option would provide an opportunity for more students to compete in the Job Interview CDE.)
    Yes
    No

  1. I agree that I often have more students interested in Job Interview than are allowed to compete at the subdistrict, district or state levels.
    Yes
    No

  1. The position of "Agriculture Instructor" is absent from the current list of careers.

I agree that the career of AGRICULTURE INSTRUCTOR could easily fit into any of the 7 pathways.
    Yes
    No

  1. Analysts estimate that 80% of future careers will require some level of postsecondary training (not necessarily a Bachelors Degree).

I feel that the description of...

    “high school entry-level job openings”

    should be changed.
    Yes
    No

  1. Of Iowa FFA CDE's, the Job Interview CDE is probably the most practical for ALL students.
    Yes
    No

  1. If the Iowa FFA Association were to expand the number of students that may participate in the Job Interview CDE, I would suggest ELIMINATING the ______ CDE.
