  1. June 3: Discovery Education and Safari Montage class, 9:00-12:00.
    This class will cover how to create accounts for teachers, how to search for videos, supplementals, and quizzes. Time will be given to participants to search for materials they can use in the classroom and to organize those materials on the sites.

  1. June 24: Multimedia in the Classroom, 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00.
    This class will begin with the basics. We'll start with how to move pictures and video from your camera to your computer, progress to using Picasa 3.0 to edit photos and post them online. The rest of the class will be spent learning to use Photostory 3 and Windows Movie Maker. We'll also learn about using pictures, music, and video from the web.

  1. July 10: Premiere Elements 3.0—movie making for the classroom, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00.
    This class will begin with the basics of the program and will cover the steps to completing a DVD using video footage, still shots, and music. The final product will include chapter marks to create a DVD that includes chapter divisions.

  1. July 22 & 23: Web 2.0 Tools for the classroom, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00.
    This class will cover how to use Web 2.0 tools. Participants will learn about tools for publishing on the web including wikis and websites. We'll also explore how students can publish to the web safely by learning about additional sites like Animoto.com, Capzles.com, Glogster.com/edu, Thinkature.com, and Edmodo.com.

  1. July 29: KanEd in the Classroom, 9:00-12:30.
    This class will walk participants through the features on KanEd. We’ll look at how to use the search and alignment features, the productivity tools, reference tools, and Atomic Learning. Time will be spent learning about the LS TestBuilder (a great tool for state test prep and general for creating quizzes). Participants will also learn about how students access KanEd and what they can do.
