Teacher Opinion on Laptop Extension

High School Teachers,

The Board of Education will be discussing different options going forward next year for the high school laptops. This will be an action item. Some of those options include:

• Using the current laptops for another year by extending the warranty coverage, with the intent to purchase new laptops the following year as the economic situation improves.

• Purchasing new laptops for all high school students and teachers.

• Purchasing new laptops for individual grade levels (roughly ¼ of the laptops) on an annual basis, with the other grade levels using the existing laptops until their year of rotation would be reached.

• Discontinuing the laptop program.

I would like to survey the general opinion of all high school teachers about the laptop program, and the options listed above, so that I may share those opinions with the board.

To that end, I am asking the two questions listed below.
