Technology / MOODLE Survey
This survey is created by the Technology Department at Van Buren to help better understand what technologies would best suit our student body. Please answer all questions honestly.

- Other than being “really sweet” to have a laptop, do you think having a laptop would aid in your ability to learn and complete projects? Yes or no? Why?
- You are asked a question regarding population density in regards to a geographic region. To answer the question, you’ll have to study maps in depth, read about the region, and likely change between sources often. On the table in front of you are a pile of encyclopedias, charts, a globe, an almanac and other various periodicals all containing information pertinent to the question. On the same table is a laptop with a connection to the Internet. If you had to choose between the books or the laptop, which would you choose and why? If you chose the laptop, please list the possible resources you would likely use.

- Two teachers of equally great teaching ability are in your schedule 3 times a week. One uses Moodle to post homework and assignments online and interacts with the class outside of class time via the Internet. The other teacher prefers handwritten or typed papers printed and turned in by hand and has no Moodle page. You like both teachers equally. If you had to choose, which teacher would you rather take classes from? Why?
- How often do you use Moodle per day? (Give answer in minutes, hours, etc...)
- Given that you are expected to complete assignments anyway, do you think Moodle helps you or do you feel it is a waste of time?
- If given the choice to take a class while sitting in a classroom or take a class online via Moodle which would you prefer?
- In general, how do you feel about Moodle and the idea of taking classes online?
- You are headed off to college, what method of interaction do you suspect (if you don’t already know) most Universities use today to connect with students?
- How well do you feel Van Buren Schools are preparing you "technology" wise for both the workforce and post secondary education?
