NA-YGN 2011 Excellence Award Nomination
Purpose: This award honors an individual for his/her dedicated service to the NAYGN in one or many of the following ways (not limited to): 1) Exceptional performance, effective leadership, committed service and enthusiasm in general 2) Distinguished service in developing/conducting public education programs on contributions of nuclear science and technology to society. 3) Successful leadership and devoted service contributing to the successful operation of NAYGN local chapters 4) Provided avenues to enhance recruiting and retention of young professionals in the field of nuclear science and technology 5) Provided professional development opportunities for NAYGN members. 6) Played a key role in representing the interests of young nuclear professionals within the industry at industry gatherings and international conferences. 7) Assisted in the developing innovative ways for exchange of information between generations of nuclear professionals 8) Informing and educating the younger generation (high school, university, etc.) about nuclear science and engineering 9) Unique act(s) that is/are aimed in attaining the objectives of NAYGN Nominator(s): Any individual may nominate a candidate for this award. Self-nominations are also acceptable. Nomination Due: Nominations are due February 19th. Completed applications must have been received by this date. Winners will be notified so they can attend the annual conference. The award will be issued at the NAYGN Annual Conference. Selection Criteria: Nominee must have been of service to NA-YGN. A measurable achievement must have occurred during the previous annual year that was a direct result of the individual being nominated as an individual or as a part of a team. Restrictions for the Award: Core members and members of the Awards Committee are not eligible during the years while they are in office.
