NA-YGN 2011 Future Award Nominations
Purpose: NA-YGN wants to recognize the efforts of an individual, or a group that best exemplifies the mission of NA-YGN to prepare and plan for the future of the young generation in the field of nuclear science and technology in an innovative or unique way. Nominator(s): Utilities, Government Agencies, Professional Societies, and Vendors to the nuclear industry can nominate themselves, or others by completing the nomination package and submitting it to the Awards chair by the specified due date. Nomination Due: February 19th for the previous year’s new programs, actions, and events. Winners will be notified so they can send a representative to the annual conference. Selection Criteria: Nominees are not required to be members of NA-YGN. However, the nominee must demonstrate a commitment to the NA-YGN mission statement. The nominations will be judged for innovation on the following criteria: 1) Advocacy: Does the action promote nuclear science and technology for local, state, or federal understanding? 2) Education: Does the action educate the public, students, or new employees to the different aspects of nuclear science and technology? 3) Execution: Does the action exemplify dedication in plan and continuous plan of action? 4) Knowledge Transfer: Does the action help to reduce tacit knowledge, skills or leadership? 5) Leadership: Does the action exemplify forward thinking and trail blazing innovation? 6) Recruit, Retain, Develop: Does the action try to ensure the future workforce is available and capable of maintaining the growth of nuclear science and technology?
