In this class, we will be learning the principles of art and
reviewing the elements- the basic building blocks of art through studying the
history of American & European Art Movements of the 20th century

Regular Pencil (NOT mechanical)
Sketchbook (make in class)

*Paint smock
Bring supplies daily (*) these items are as needed with the projects
Schedule of Projects
Each project will last approximately 1 week depending on the speed of the class as a whole. Due date will be set after project is started –check the board daily for dates. Each project will have a detailed step by step directions as well as the grading a rubric for each project- this is handed put at the beginning of each project. They should be out and used as a reference to complete projects. *If you are falling behind will need to come in before or after school to catch up. I will except work 1 day late at 40% off and after that the grade will be a zero.

*Follow the rules of good character and school policies
*Responsibility: Bring all necessary materials! I do not give passes to lockers to get forgotten materials or projects.
Be on time! On time means sitting in your seat ready to start the day 4 tardies = referral
If you finish a project early, you must:
1-work on your sketchbook assignment
2-free draw/silent reading/homework
*Respect: for the teacher, classmates, themselves, and class materials this means do not talk back to the teacher, tease classmate, destroy others projects, and use material only as directed.
