Responsibilities:
As
the team expert on solar cookers, you will be researching the different
types of cookers that are already out there. It will be from your
information that your team will choose what type of cooker or cookers to
build. By visiting the following links provided, you should
get some great insight and ideas on what will work and how you can accomplish
your team's goals.
Criteria:
The links below provide information on many types of solar cookers.
You will be required to keep a research journal on each inquiry. Each entry
must address pertinent information about each feature and answer some general
questions: What type of foods can be prepared in this cooker?
What special features does it require? Are there any problems that
you might encounter if you use this design? Are the materials required
easy to come by?
1)
Cookers:
The journal entries must contain at least 3 different designs
(including a crude sketch of what they look like), the materials you will
need to create it, and all of the required information about each chosen
style.
2)
Special Features: Your cooker should have at least 2 additional
features not in the above requirements. Your journal entries should
portray multiple options for your team to look at and decide from.
Your
Research Journal will be turned in with your required packet of materials
for your final grade. It should be word processed, contain the drawings,
and list the sites for each option you chose. Good Hunting!
