You can use this game to test yourself with flashcards or a game of memory. Images are from Microsoft Clip Art (with the exception of the picture of Sam and the flower, those are mine) and edited with picnik.

Noun,  | Person, place, thing, or idea |
Proper Noun,  | A specific name for a noun. Always capitalized. Ex. Sam |
Pronoun,  | takes the place of a noun Ex. He, I, me, you, they, we |
Action Verb,  | shows action: either mental or physical |
Linking Verb - The puppy IS tired.,  | links a noun to describing words. Ex. The puppy is tired. (Hint: Is the puppy AM-ing? No.) |
Adjective,  | describes (modifies) a noun or pronoun. Ex. It was a YELLOW flower. |
Adverb,  | describes (modifies) a verb, adjective, or adverb. Usually end in -ly. |
Conjunction,  | help join words, phrases, and clauses Ex. FANBOYS, because, if, so |
Preposition,  | show the position of an object in a sentence. Ex. OVER the rainbow, AT the end OF the rainbow. |
Interjection,  | show emotion. Usually have an exclamation point after it. Ex. WOW! Oh no! |
