Insertion Point | The vertical blinking bar on the screen shows where Word will insert typed text and pasted items. |
Typing Text | Word is set by default to "insert" textwhich means you can type anywhere in the document and Word moves any existing text or the insertion point to the right. |
Deleting Text | Press the (Delete key) to delete one character at a time to the right of the cursor. Press the (Backspace) key to delete one character to the left at a time. |
Overtype | Press the (insert) key to "type over" or replace existing text; press the (insert) key to return to Insert Mode. |
Word Wrap | When uou have typed enough words to fill a line, the next word will automatically wraparound to the next line. |
Ending Word Wrap/ Blank Lines | When you are finished typing text for a line, paragraph. or th insert a blank line, press the (Enter) key. |
