Microsoft Word 2007, Creating Documents

These activities contain terms from Microsoft Word 2007, creating documents.

Insertion PointThe vertical blinking bar on the screen shows where Word will insert typed text and pasted items.
Typing TextWord is set by default to "insert" textwhich means you can type anywhere in the document and Word moves any existing text or the insertion point to the right.
Deleting TextPress the (Delete key) to delete one character at a time to the right of the cursor. Press the (Backspace) key to delete one character to the left at a time.
OvertypePress the (insert) key to "type over" or replace existing text; press the (insert) key to return to Insert Mode.
Word WrapWhen uou have typed enough words to fill a line, the next word will automatically wraparound to the next line.
Ending Word Wrap/ Blank LinesWhen you are finished typing text for a line, paragraph. or th insert a blank line, press the (Enter) key.
A formatting code which represents everytime you press (Enter).
A formatting code which represents everytime you press (Tab).
........................A formatting code which represents a soft page break (when you type enough to fill a page); visible only in Normal view.
..........Page Break...........A formatting code which represents a manual or hard page break (whenyou activaew the xcommand to end the page at this location and move to the next page).
