Still Here for You...
Tropical Storm Floyd Recovery Services
Though nearly a year has passed since the destruction levied by Tropical Storm Floyd, there remains a need for human services. People's homes and businesses are still showing signs of damage; additional problems surface as the seasons change; medical complications come to light long after the event.
For these reasons, the social service agencies of Central New Jersey continue to offer help...assistance at no cost, no strings and a minimum of red tape. The following is a list of these services for yourself or a friend in need:

Somerset County: 908-725-2217
Bergen County: 1-800-947-1828

There are a number of anniversary activities planned by several community organizations. These Remberance Day events will hopefully provide an opportunity for neighbors to meet neighbors to celebrate the community's survival and resilence, as well as to bring closure to many of the flood-related activities that have been ongoing since last September. The door-to-door Communities Crisis Counseling efforts of Project Recovery will terminate in mid-November, but many other community-based counseling programs will remain. If you would like to meet with a Crisis Counselor prior at anytime before November 15th, please call Project Recovery directly at 908-704-6320.
We hope to see you at the Rememberance Day festivities in your town!
