Welcome to Atom Week

This week you will be looking at the the structure, function and organization of atoms, elements and the Periodic Table.  You will be working at your own speed through the material.  At the end of the week you will have an exam over all of the material.

Monday:  Lets look at Atomic Structure and Names
       1.  Complete Inside The Atom
       2.  Complete 40 Element Symbols Worksheet
       3.  Click on 40 Element Symbols Play the
matching game.  How many do you know?
       4.  Click on All About Atoms   Find the
answers to the questions on "All About Atoms".
                a. Explain where and how many quarks are
found in each proton.  In each neutron.
                b. How are quarks held together?
                c. How are electrons used to study the
                   atom?
                d. Compare the weight of an electron to
                   that of a proton.
                e. How do you make an isotope?
                f. Compare the size of a hydrogen atom to
                   a quark.
