We are doing a lot of silent reading. 8-1 is reading The Giver, and 7th grade is reading self selected books. You will have 2 responses due this week - one which will be concerning point of view. Corrective Reading 8-2, 7-7 *You will have a comprehension sheet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for homework. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ALL THE STEPS OF RONUS + E 8-2 will be back to the books this week. Do you remember how to divide vccv syllables? How many types of syllables can you name? 7-7 will be learning more concepts. Look for syllable division, wild-old words, more prefixes, suffixes, and root words, and the rule for when c sounds like (s). Do you remember when to spell with wr? *** We read about a famous dyslexic this past week. Share your knowledge with your parents. What did you find interesting? Did any of the information surprise you? Were you able to relate in any way? EXTRA CREDIT ALL CLASSES: ***Read the newspaper each day. Cut out an article you would like to share with the class. Make sure you tell who, what, when, why, where, and how in your presentation.
