By now, you have all finished your Tourism Scavenger Hunt, right?. Your assignment is to plan a one week vacation to one of the following:

Assignment
Each person must pick one of the places and will work alone to create a 1-2 page (no longer) travel plan. Your travel plans should include:
  • Why people would like to go there
  • The best time of year to go there
  • How the person would get there from Kansas City -- car, plane, bus, train. Include how long it will take to get there and the cost.
  • A variety of things to do there. For example, in New York: Broadway shows, museums, interesting sites to visit, restaurants. --- In a national park: hiking, horseback riding, fishing, camping. ------
    • Include things the person will need to bring to do those things: hiking boots, sleeping bag, tent, etc.
  • Where the person should (or could) stay and the cost.
    • Pick a hotel or campground and figure the cost for your entire one week vacation.
  • Give an itinerary of what the person should (or could) do each day for seven days. Be sure to figure in travel time.
This presentation must be attractive for your reader and easy to read. Using bulleted lists is one option. Don't fill the paper with lots of colored pictures - 1 or 2 are enough. If you choose Washington D.C., no pictures are necessary because we already have a page of D.C. pictures.

Your printed black and white presentation is due this
THURSDAY, December 7.

If you want to plan a trip to a different place in the USA that isn't listed above, it might be OK. Talk to me before you start.
