Perfect Tense:

The perfect tense is used to show a completed action in the past. To get the stem for it you look in the dictionary in the back of your book and find the third form.

The endings of the perfect tense are:
-i
-isti
-it
-imus
-istis
-erunt

Here are some examples of verbs in the perfect tense:

custodivi
custodivisti
custodivit
custodivimus
custodivistis
custodiverunt
