Horizon Elementary School 4th Grade
Welcome to the website of the 4th Grade Champions!

To all my Champions!

I had intended to write to you much sooner, but I have been sooooooo busy unpacking boxes, phoning and meeting the cable TV guy, the water meter reader, finding various stores and all that un-fun stuff that goes along with moving.  Many boxes are still only partially opened in the garage and the basement.

Columbus is a neat place.  We have been to the Columbus Zoo which is surprisingly good.  Have you ever seen Jack Hanna's Animal World on TV?  He is the director of our zoo.  We went downtown last night to see a musical called Swing, about the music and dancing of the 1930s and 40s.  The energy of the dancers was terrific!  I still want to get to the Columbus Museum of Science and Industry, especially while that Xtreme Screen show of 'Nsync is there!

I had to take a written test in order to get my driver's license.  I was really scared since I haven't had a class on all those rules for more than a few years.  I PASSED!!   Now I have to take a national teacher's test on things I haven't had for 20 years.  I've been studying an hour each day.  Yes, I completely understand how you feel about the SOL tests!!!

I hope you are having a great summer.  Send me an email to tell me the fun things you have done so far.  My email address is:

I miss you all!  Mrs. Young
