MRS. DAVIS has two games ready for practice- one is a synonym practice and the other is a Science Pop-up game. Practice both of these at least twice a week.
The areas of focus this week are as follows:
Math - Continuing with geometry; reviewing Algebra, multiplication, division, estimating, problem solving, graphs, decimals, and ordering of numbers.
Social Studies - Starting Chapter 9 - The Constitution
Read the chapter and do related activities. Make study cards for vocabulary and timeline
English - Studying past tense verbs; reviewing present tense verbs. 20 vocabulary words related to Science and Social Studies; finishing all activities related to The Call of the Wild.
Science - Studying the parts of a cell and their functions,
cell division, stages of mitosis.
Science Project Due: Feb. 21
Students must have a representation of a plant and animal cell identifying the parts. A typed report must be turned in with the cell representations explaining the functions (jobs) of the parts.
