Spanish I-  We're studying the verb tener and expressions that go with it for feelings and sicknesses.  See page 113 in your textbook. Our next lesson is on how to tell the weather.  We will be visiting various web sites for the weather conditions in Spanish speaking countries.  If you want, check out

Spanish III-  We're studying the subjunctive after verbs of doubt and disbelief.  See page 203 in you textbook.  Our next lesson is on Art and Spanish Artists.  We will be visiting various web sites for information and visuals on the Spanish masters of art, such and Goya, Velazquez, El Greco, Picasso, Dali, Gaudi, and Miro and Latin American artists, such as Rivera, Posada, and Kahlo.

Spanish V-  Currently we are reading various legends and fables of Latin America.  The readings come from your Galerias Hispanicas of El Lago Encantado and ancillary materials which I hand out in class.  For further reading surf the internet for interesting Latin American stories or current news items you wish to share with the class.

A FIELD TRIPis planned for any of my Spanish III and V students interested in seeing the works of art at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC on April 13.  More information to follow.
