Time is simply flying this year.  As we begin a new session of Technology As A Change Agent, there are few things you may want to know.

First, about me, about us, although this course is not really about us, we are your facilitators.  Dr. Elliott and I teach separate sections of the course but often work together on aspects of the instructional design for the course.   Dr. Elliott has a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Design from the Pennsylvania State University with other degrees and technology certifications.  I hold a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  We both hold the Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

We meet with you one day at the beginning of the course but then swing communication to email and phone.  This is a modified online/text course that will challenge your present level of technology experience by bringing you aboard a new virtual experience in the field--a virtual teacher site that enables us to try emerging communication tools and allows us to "chat" in a professional environment where we can share resources.  Instead of holding a final gathering for presentations as we used to....we help you to build a digital portfolio through the development of projects that we help you to post into a professional web site with links to other professional sites such as this one.

The course changes a bit as trends change.  This is for your benefit, so that you stay abreast of changes in the integration of technology and so that you can tap into the resources that are multitudinous and easily available--once you know what's out there.
