Beginning November 6th, students will go into Mrs. Clough's class for a unit on human growth and development. This part of our science unit and is taken from the Scholastic text book.
We will continue to read and answer questions from the literature book. This week we will read "Eleven" and finish up a short story test.
Accelerated Reader....Where is your child in this program? This is 33% of the students grades. Many kids are doing super but a score below 7 out of 10 on questions is not passing. Some students are having a hard time comprehending the meaning of the book....they might have to slow down.
We will work on a Word document Monday as we study irregular verbs part 2. The students will color code the irregular verb as well as adverbs. On Tuesday, we will work on mini quizes from this web site.
We will finish up November's Writing assignment so the grades can be turned in by Tuesday. The December writing assignment will focus on a Winter theme with "LY" adverbs and Interjections. This assignment will be due by Christmas break so this one the kids will really have to work on. A brainstorm using Inspiration will be required.
