Le Français I
Welcome to my new students of French I! I hope that as the semester continues, you and I together will do our best to help you reach our primary goal -- to get you to be able to function in the French language through the use of the following skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will use those skills in three modes: INTERPRETIVE, INTERPERSONAL and PRESENTATIONAL.
In order to improve your skills, spend a few minutes each night reviewing new concepts and new vocabulary. Practice saying these words out loud. The practice does pay off. The 80 minutes we have together each day is far from enough time to reach our goal. Whether you have a homework assignment or not, please take a few minutes each day to PRACTICE.

You will use the text Discovering French Nouveau!. Webpages with material to help you are always under construction. What is ready can be found here.
