Have a super week.
***********News for the week of May 15th-19th*************
"Muffins for Mom" was wonderful! I was very proud of all the children! Their behavior was excellent and it looked as though all moms got the "royal" treatment. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day and spending a little portion of it with your child.
I hope I have answered any questions you have about our camp out. It will be on June 2nd from 6:30pm until June 3rd at 8:00am. I have these families sleeping with us:
Andrews, Campbell, Cox, and Willman. I have these families helping us with the centers: Andrews, Campbell, Cox, Konst, Rolleri, and Willman. If I forgot your name, or if you would like to join us, PLEASE let me know! It's going to be lots of fun....
This Thursday is our First Grade End of the Year Program. Our class will sing at 6:30. Please have your child in our classroom at 6:00. They need to be dressed in a t-shirt and blue jean shorts/shirts. I will pass out our new first grade t-shirts that night. (Just a reminder, if you haven't paid for your child's t-shirt, $4.00, please do so immediately!) After you drop off your child, please make your way up to the gym and find a good seat for our program. After our program there will be a PTA program. You may stay for that, and afterwards come down to the room and get your child.
Our Pond Field Trip to Laurel Hills Park will be May 31st. That is why we have "Super Kids Day" or "Field Day" on June 6th. At "Muffins for Mom" I recruited these moms to help: Cindy Cox, Gail Rolleri, Aimee Jordan, Mel Hnatt, and Dawn Andrews. THANKS!! If you would like to help please let me know. We will begin setting up around 10:00, and activities begin at 11:00 and end at 1:00. At 1:00 we will be having pizza for lunch. (Just a reminder, if you haven't paid your child's $3.00 towards pizza, please do so). Since we will be eating so late, please send with your child to school that day a snack and something to drink. If they eat and drink at 10:30, hopefully they will be able to enjoy the stations and not think about lunch! Now about the field trip....If you would like to join us on our field trip please let me know. This is a very "hands-on" trip (we will be catching "critters" from a pond). This is my favorite trip, it is so much fun. We will be leaving our school around 9:30 and returning around 1:15.
"Donuts for Dad" is June 2nd. Don't for get to mark your calendars for an hour of fun with your child! "Donuts for Dad" will be from 8:15-9:15!
Last Friday was the last day to turn in "Books and Beyond" sheets. This doesn't mean that you can stop reading at home though! Please continue to read nightly. I even had one student tell me that her mom was going to make up a "Books and Beyond" sheet for her to fill out during the summer. After so many completed sheets, she said that she will get to go to the toy store and get a prize. How wonderful!
This Thursday I have my second, and last, math workshop to go to. Mrs. Bergland will be the sub again. Of course Mrs. Braden will be there too. Please remind your children to use their best behavior!
I hope all of you have a wonderful week!
