ghhsart Mrs. Carl
Green Hope High School Visual Arts Department

The week of November 13-17, the Visual Arts Department of Green Hope High School is pleased to welcome Mrs. Senora Lynch, a Halawi-Saponi Native American potter from North Carolina.  Mrs. Lynch will be working with art students to teach them the folklore, history and oral traditions of her tribe as well as teach them her award-winning style of pottery and sculpture making. Mrs. Lynch's residence is sponsored by a grant from United Arts. During her residency, Mrs. Lynch will help us to design a series of wall hangings with Native American themes.  After she leaves, Mrs. Carl will be conducting a series of workshops for students, teachers and administrators to create tiles which will be assembled into the wall hangings for the school.
