March 27--Work on final draft.  Considered late if completed after Monday, March 27 at 2 p.m. Assigned:  "The Gift of the Wilderness" in Resourceful Reader.  Answer questions 2,4,6 at the end of essay.  Gave every student a source copy for argument essay topic.  Read for Wednesday.

March 29--Went over argument.  Gave hand-outs.  For Friday, read C.Q. Researcher articel and have a pro/con list, an outline with three point thesis and Roman Numeral I, II, and III with A. B. under each (supporting factors and page numbers).  See outline handout from beginning of semester.  Do note cards also.  On Monday, have one other source (article).

March 31--Rest of note cards due Monday.  Read, "Cinderella's Stepsisters" in Resourceful Reader.

April 3--In-class quiz summary of "Cinderella's Stepsisters." 

April 5--In-class quiz assignment--Third person point of view.  Read:  The Nuclear Winter for Friday

April 7--In-class quiz assignment over cause/effect and The Nuclear Winter using book. Gave topics to look at for Monday. MONDAY MEET AT THE MUSKOGEE PUBLIC LIBRARY WHERE THE COMPUTER LAB IS RESERVED FOR US.  If you have a library card, bring it.  If you need to get on the internet, try to go to the library by 5:30 p.m. Saturday for internet access.  Otherwise, you can look on databases, use "Taking Sides" and another new Opposing Viewpoints book.

April 10--Went to Muskogee Public Library for articles for cause or effect.  For Wednesday, have ten note cards and a works cited page completed.  Read "On Warts" from Resourceful Reader for Wednesday.  Typewritten rough draft due.

April 12--Gave up to 5 extra credit points for "On Warts" quiz.  Gave back rough drafts and comment sheets.  Went over the directions again for argument essay.  Gave handout for brainstorming for cause/effect.  Due Friday.  Final typewritten drafts of argument essay turned in early receive 10 points extra credit.

April 14--Brainstorming handout for cause/effect essay due.   Will begin rough draft Monday for cause/effect.  Final argumentative (typed) essay due Wednesday.

April 17--Began rough draft for cause/effect.  Early rough drafts today receive extra credit.

April 19--Work on rough draft.  Final argumentative essay due.

April 21--No Class--Good Friday

April 24--Finish rough draft by end of hour.  Proofread.

April 26--Begin final draft.

April 28--Work on final draft.

May 1--Final due by 2 p.m.

May 3--Review for Final exam.
