Read the story Una hija singular that you received last week, and on a separate sheet of paper answer questions #1-3, 6, 8-11, and 13.

- the differences between ser/estar
- the present progressive (the questions on the test will resemble those found on Exercise #6 on www.weston.org/yegros)
- Vocabulary: "Los sentimientos" and the descriptive vocabulary about the hair and the face.
- Also, re-study the present tense verbs you learned for the previous test, because you will be asked similar questions about them. A copy of the sheet of verbs for the first test was given to you on Monday.
Study the preterit endings and the irregular verbs that you learned on Thursday. To practice them, use "Conjuguemos" in www.weston.org/conjuguemos. You can go to it directly by clicking below. Practice exercises #6-7 in "Conjuguemos.
For Tuesday, November 14:
Complete the preterit review sheet that I handed out in class on Monday.
For Thursday, November 16:
QUIZ on the vocabulary list "Los empleos" and on the preterit (stem-changing verbs and regular verbs). Use "Conjuguemos" to practice! Also, answer the questions at the end of the reading that you received on Tuesday (it's a sample job application letter).
For Monday, November 20:
Design a job application ad that will be posted on our walls on Monday. The announcement should include the job title, the requirements, and the benefits offered (as well as contact information). Be neat and colorful! Also, you will perform your skits on Monday. (You might want to get a head start on your journal entry, which is due by Wednesday afternoon).
For Tuesday, November 21:
Don't forget to hand in your diary entries by Wednesday afternoon.
